Team Roles
What each role on the team is responsible for.

Founder
Sets program direction, leads partnerships with schools and cafeteria staff, and oversees all teams.

Mentor & CUNY Expansion Lead
Advises the student team and oversees operations across sites, and leads expansion of the program to CUNY campuses.

Logistics Lead
Plans pickup schedules and routes, and coordinates student volunteers between partner schools and pantries.

Finance Lead
Builds and tracks the program budget, including hardware, coolers, and supplies, and leads grant applications and the search for a fiscal sponsor.

Outreach Lead
Manages relationships with partner pantries and new schools, handles first contact and follow-ups, and leads expansion to new neighborhoods.

Engineering Co-Lead
Builds and maintains the cold-chain temperature loggers and the Track the Box logging platform.

Health & Safety Lead
Maintains food handling standards and makes sure pickups follow cold-chain and safety protocol.

Communications Lead
Runs internal team updates, social media, and volunteer recruiting materials.

Transport Lead
Handles physical pickups and deliveries, prepares coolers and gel packs, and makes sure manifests are signed at drop-off. Reports to the Logistics Lead.

Brooklyn Site Operator
Runs day-to-day operations at the Brooklyn partner school, coordinating collection and handoff to the partner pantry, and serves as the site's point of contact.

Collection Coordinator
Collects sealed surplus from school share tables, sorts and packs items for transport, and logs each box in Track the Box.
